Ramiro Forty
Scholars Program Advisor
Ramiro Forty serves as a Scholar Advisor at New Futures, bringing empathy, insight, and lived experience as a two-time New Futures Scholar to his work. He is dedicated to supporting young people with the same encouragement he once received and is passionate about helping students grow with confidence and purpose. He believes in mentorship and aims to offer supportive guidance.
Ramiro’s journey reflects the transformative impact of educational support systems and the power of community. A two-time recipient of the New Futures scholarship, he understands firsthand how meaningful it is to have people who believe in your potential. He brings that same care and commitment to each Scholar he now advises.
He holds a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a minor in Digital Media Production from the College of Southern Maryland. His background in youth work, professional development, and communication fuels the thoughtful approach he brings to the team.
Returning to New Futures, Ramiro hopes to uplift the next generation of Scholars through mentorship, encouragement, and honest guidance. He is passionate about helping students discover their voices, build their confidence, and take bold steps toward their educational and career goals.
Ramiro’s lived experience within the New Futures community gives him a unique perspective that Scholars relate to and trust. He aims to leave a lasting, positive impact on their journeys just as the program did for him.
