Community Groups

New Futures partners with well-respected community-based organizations in the Washington, DC area who wish to assist their clients in the pursuit of post-secondary education.  New Futures requires that partnering organizations support their scholarship applicants throughout the scholarship process and to commit to mentoring their scholars throughout their post-secondary education.  New Futures also requires the partnering organizations to provide financial statements, transcripts, and mentoring logs for their students each semester and to coordinate the scholarship payments to the educational institutes.

New Futures is particularly interested in partnering with organizations who work with very low income youth and young adults, ages 17-29, who are interested in obtaining vocational skills, professional certifications, or vocationally-oriented associate degrees, since we have seen these 1-2 year programs provide quick paths to success for many or our past scholars.
