New Futures Scholarships
All New Futures applicants must be nominated by one of our Community Partner organizations. No unsolicited applications will be considered.
These scholarships will finance those pursuing post-secondary education of the following types, with priority begin given to the first two types:
- Students who are applying to post-secondary vocational certificate programs, either at specialized vocational schools or at community colleges: the scholarship will finance 90% of the scholar’s program expense balance up to a total of $12,000 for tuition and other documented expenses for program attendance.
- Students who are applying to community college in order to obtain an associate’s (2-year) degree or as the first step towards a bachelor’s (4-year) degree: the scholarships will finance up to $1,500 per full-time semester for college attendance if needed after other financial aid is applied. (Funding for part-time attendance will be prorated based on number of credits being taken.) Note: These scholars are eligible to apply for a second New Futures scholarship if they wish to continue their education after successfully completing their 2-year program.
- Students who are applying to college for a bachelor’s (4-year) degree: The scholarship will finance up to $1,500 per full-time semester, up to a total of $12,000 for tuition and other documented expenses for 4-year college attendance if needed after other financial aid is applied. (Funding for part-time attendance will be prorated based on number of credits being taken.)
