The day was marked with laughter and tears…

Mike Gould, New Futures President, presents awards to Mahamat Hassane and Loren Redman.

A poignant moment was experienced as the Keith Ricardo Hines Memorial Scholarship was awarded.  Keith Hines, a former New Futures scholars who lost his life last summer to senseless violence in his DC neighborhood, had made a tremendous turn-around in his life, and all who knew him were very proud and impressed with what he had done. Andrew Warren has been named the first Keith Hines Memorial Scholarship recipient in Keith’s memory, and we wish him much luck and promise for a successful future.
